When Instagram first launched, it was nothing more than a simplistic photo-sharing social media platform. However, over the years, the application has launched many other features to share content like Instagram Stories, IGTV, Instagram Live, and much more.

After much anticipation, Instagram recently introduced its response to the popular social media network TikTok by implementing Instagram Reels. In short, Instagram Reels are a new way to record 15-second clips set to music. Unlike Instagram Stories, you can select and upload multiple different clips to put into one Instagram Reel for easy in-app editing. Once a video is created, it can be shared in a variety of ways: via Instagram Stories, the Explore Feed, and a new Instagram Reels tab on a user’s profile.

Not only is this feature a fun way to enhance your videos, but it turns out it’s a great tool for engagement.
