A change you already should have made is now imperative…
The advantages of a mobile-friendly website have been apparent for some time now, but starting about a week ago (April 21st), Google is making mobile-friendliness an absolute necessity. Google has made a change to the way their search results are populated and now people using their phones to search will be shown mobile-friendly results above sites that aren’t optimized for mobile. Makes sense, right? If you’re using your phone, you want to be shown search results that aren’t going to look completely misshapen when you click on them.
So, why does this matter to you? Well, if you’re using a website that doesn’t play well with mobile, you’ve likely been buried in the mobile search results, no matter how good your SEO might be. If you’re not sure how mobile-friendly your website might be, use Google’s Mobile-Friendly Test. It will tell you if your website passes their test and if not, how you can improve it!
By the way, if you were wondering, Back At You’s landing pages are already mobile-friendly and of course, your Facebook business page is optimized for mobile viewing as well, whether it’s viewed through the Facebook app or a browser.
We understand that technology may not excite you or seem extremely important to your business, but it’s vital to your success in today’s world. Keep up with your competition and make sure your site is easy to use/view for people, regardless of how they’re finding it (and make sure they can find it in the first place). Becoming mobile-friendly is the only way to go!
