Remember last week when we talked about Facebook Messages for Business Pages becoming more and more efficient? Well, apparently Facebook isn’t done with this Messaging emphasis.

Recently, our team noticed what looked like a new feature on the Back At You Facebook Page.

ResponsivenessEdit

Here’s the idea: If you’re diligent and respond to your fans and clients in a very timely manner, Facebook wants to reward you for that. We did some more digging and here’s what we found out about achieving the gold medal of Facebook responsiveness…

When your Page has the icon, anyone can see that your Page is very responsive to messages.

When your Page isn’t yet very responsive to messages, only people who help manage your Page can see responsiveness info below the Page’s cover photo.

This responsiveness is apparently takes your Page’s messaging activity over the last seven days into account. To be honest, a 90% response rate within 5 minutes is not particularly easy to achieve, especially for real estate agents who are constantly on the go. That said, you really should strive to respond to people who are actively reaching out to you!

If I’m thinking about selling my house and I shoot you a Facebook message, but don’t hear back within 24 hours or so, it’s very likely that I’m going to look for help elsewhere. So how does the busy real estate agent stay on top of something like Facebook Messages? The key is your phone.

The best idea is to download Facebook’s Pages Manager app. This app will help you do a lot on your business Page from your phone. Not only does it allow you to easily snap a picture on your phone and post it to your Page, it will also allow you to respond to your clientele, both present and potential, in no time at all. You can also adjust your Facebook notification settings to send you an e-mail every time you receive a message, if you’re one of those people that can’t stop checking their e-mail.

The bottom line is Facebook wants customers to have great experiences while interacting with businesses on Facebook, so they’re going to make it easy for you to respond and further incentivize you with fancy badges! Good luck raising that responsiveness and let us know if you achieve the Responsiveness Icon!
